PRSA Chapters Present “AI and Public Relations: Sparking Curiosity and Removing Fear” Workshop

Manchester, NH -  In the world of communications, artificial intelligence (AI) is a hot topic. The Yankee Chapter of PRSA (Public Relations Society of America), along with the PRSA Boston and Worcester chapters, are hosting an innovative half-day workshop entitled, “AI and Public Relations: Sparking Curiosity and Removing Fear." This in-person session will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Nackey S. Loeb School in Manchester.

“This is not your average ChatGPT workshop,” says Yankee Chapter president Robin Schell.  “Attendees at all levels of AI experience, especially communications and public relations practitioners and agency professionals, will benefit from presentations that range from practical strategies for the use of AI tools to the ethical and legal implications practitioners should consider when using AI.”  The session will include a networking breakfast, two hour-long presentations and a panel discussion on AI and ethics.

The workshop will feature AI experts from Boston, Maine and NH, including Mark McClennan, APR, Fellow PRSA, co-creator of the PR Council's AI Code of Ethics, and author of the acclaimed PR book "Ethical Voices - Practicing Public Relations with Integrity." Joining him is Rebecca Emery, APR, a seasoned PR leader and full-time AI marketing advisor, and Jim Schachter, New Hampshire Public Radio’s president and chief executive officer, who has decades of experience as a journalist and newsroom executive with some of the nation’s leading media organizations, including WNYC public radio, The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times.  To register, visit www.yankeeprsa.org  or use this link:  https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/ev/reg/z8jkp4n
