STEM-MoBILE – a mobile educational science lab at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center

Concord, NH --The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center looks forward to welcoming Sydney Rollins, PhD student in the Integrative Biology Program at UNH, as our April 2024 Super Stellar Friday speaker. Sydney is passionate about research in the biological sciences and about teaching science to everyone, but especially to kids.
On April 5, Sydney will be presenting on her research in the emerging scientific and medical field of biofabrication. Biofabrication aims to create personalized tissues and organs for the people who need them, and it’s happening right here in New Hampshire! Come listen to Sydney speak and learn about this cutting-edge field of science and about the STEM-MoBILE – a mobile educational science lab designed to inform everyone in New Hampshire, from ages “K through Gray,” about the breakthroughs happening right in our backyard and the myriad opportunities for employment within the field. This event will take place on April 5, and doors will open at 6:30 pm with the presentation beginning at 7 pm. Super Stellar Friday is a monthly event hosted by the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center. Along with a guest speaker presentation, attendees can look forward to exploring the exhibits, watching our popular planetarium show, Tonight’s Sky, and weather allowing, look at the stars with the New Hampshire Astronomical Society.
