New England PR Organizations Collaborate to Host Virtual Program On Earning PR Accreditation

Boston, MA - April 1, 2024 - The Yankee, Boston, and Worcester chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), in collaboration with the Maine PR Council, will offer a virtual professional development session on the process for earning accreditation for PR and communications professionals.

The panel discussion will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, April 9, from 4 to 5 p.m. EST. Accredited PR professionals from various backgrounds will lead the discussion, sharing insights into the benefits of accreditation for career advancement, navigating the APR process, and initiating the accreditation journey.

The program, hosted by Yankee Chapter Accreditation Co-Chairs Mark Elliott, APR (Velcro Companies Inc.) and Joe Gallagher, APR (Fuel Cell LLC), will include panelists Thomasena Shaw, APR, Professor of Public Relations at Bridgewater State University; Cristal Steuer, APR, Executive Dir. Of Strategy and Placement for TVP Communications; and Greg Glynn, APR, Athlete Brand Advisor &; CEO for Pliable. Brad Belote, APR, Dir. Of Internal Communications at Planet Fitness, will serve as moderator.
