By Degrees Climate Summit to Examine Climate Change Impacts on the Granite State

Concord, NH – On Thursday, April 13, NHPR will convene a group of regional policy and environmental experts at the By Degrees Climate Summit 2023 to discuss climate resiliency and solutions-based ideas. Hosted by NHPR’s climate & energy reporter Mara Hoplamazian, this summit brings together people from across the region to talk about opportunities for transformative action in the face of the climate change crisis.

The Summit will focus on the climate solutions that address more than just the environment — according to organizers, the solutions could change the way Granite Staters live, how they get around, what they eat, and a lot more.

Attendees will learn from climate leaders in New England, including: Doria Brown, Energy Manager for the City of Nashua; Hayley Jones, Vermont and New Hampshire State Director at Slingshot; Aziz Dehkan, expert with a background in Biological Sciences.

The By Degrees Climate Summit is free and will be live streamed by NHPR with closed captioning. A recording (both audio and video) will be used for a later broadcast and distributed through NHPR’s digital platforms during Earth Week 2023. Space is limited, register to attend in person here. Go to NHPR.org for ways to listen and submit questions in advance.

NHPR’s By Degrees is an on-going reporting project that takes the audience directly to the people and places experiencing and addressing the challenges of climate change, while explaining the forces both driving and limiting New Hampshire’s efforts to respond to this crisis.
