The New Hampshire Public Health Association (NHPHA) announced that it has welcomed Ellen Smith Ahern, MSW as its new Immunization Program Coordinator. Ms. Smith Ahern, a graduate of Middlebury College and the University of Connecticut School of Social Work, is passionate about building relationships and movements for inclusive, transformative change. She has worked with communities in Connecticut for food and environmental justice, sustainable work and housing, and refugee rights and support. Ms. Smith Ahern is also a professional dance artist whose creative practice informs her approach to organizing, advocacy and policy. A recent newcomer to New Hampshire, Ms. Smith Ahern is excited to join NHPHA and work with communities across the Granite State.
