Casting For Kirby: Youth Fishing Derby

Waterville Valley, NH - One of Waterville Valley’s most exciting summer traditions, the Kirby Youth Fishing Derby, is marking 10 years on Corcoran Pond. On Saturday June 15th, the annual Fishing Derby is back and there are fun activities- from fishing to face painting and live music. 

The fun begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning with the 10th Annual Casting for Kirby Youth Fishing Derby. The competition is divided between kids aged 7 and under, and children from 8 to 15. The goal is try to catch Corcoran Pond’s elusive Kirby and win a prize. The registration fee is $6 if paying by Wednesday, June 12th or $10 day of. But that’s not the only thing happening on that day. Family friendly entertainment is also offered, including balloon twisting, face painting, boat rentals (extra fee), story hour at the Rey Center. 0001
