Three Concierges at The Hotel Concord earn Certified Hotel Concierge distinction from the American Hotel & Lodging Association

CONCORD, N.H. – Three concierges working at The Hotel Concord, in downtown Concord, New Hampshire, have just earned The Certified Hotel Concierge (CHC) certification from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI). The Hotel Concord is investing in the training and education of its associates to offer exemplary guest service and more associates are currently working to obtain their CHCs.

“We want to give our associates an opportunity to learn and improve their professional skillset” said David V. Shamoian, President & CEO of the Bravo Zulu Hospitality Group, which manages The Hotel Concord.   “Investing in the education of our associates not only benefits their career development, but also ensures we are offering guests the best personalized service. Having certified associates helps us maintain a high-quality standard,” he added.

The Certified Hotel Concierge program is available for full-time hospitality professionals who wish to excel in their current position. Candidates must pass a rigorous  exam  which certifies their superior hospitality skills, ability to use technology and internet, and praises soft skills like diversity and cultural awareness.

The CHC accreditation is the first step towards obtaining the international certificate Les Clefs d’Or, the highest concierge distinction in the US hotel industry. The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute offers training programs for every position in the hospitality field.
