CUNY Study Abroad Students Intern at Athens International Airport

Two City University of New York, College of Aviation Management students, Dianna Rodriguez and Thinley Wongmo spent their summer in Athens, Greece, on an internship with Athens International Airport supervised by Hellenic American University and facilitated by the University Provost Dr. Triant Flouris, who has served as director of the Aviation Institute at York.

For the duration of their stay, the students lived on campus at Hellenic American University, where they both stated they experienced the opportunity of a lifetime. The two students also completed projects at the University for which they earned credits towards their degrees at York. Student Thinley Wongmo referred to the experience as “transformative.”

Dr. Flouris, and Dr. Chun-Pin Hsu, present director of the Aviation institute at York, began the internship project almost a year ago, and hope to deliver more success stories.
