Estimated 66% of uninsured Black adults eligible for zero-dollar premium plans
On Saturday, May 1, at 7:00pm, Songweavers Women’s Chorus of Concord Community Music School celebrates 30 years of singing together. A virtual spring concert entitled “Joy!” will include interview clips with some women who have sung with the group since the beginning, a poem written for the occasion, a retrospective slide show, a virtual choir, and some sing-alongs. With special guest Carolyn Parrott, the founding Director of Songweavers, the program will span songs from the very first season to songs written to celebrate this momentous anniversary, as well as a duet by Carolyn and the current director, Peggo Horstmann Hodes.
On Wednesday, April 21, at 7:30pm, join members of Concord Community Music School’s Music School's jazz, folk, and South Asian classical music faculty for “Common Ground: Weaving Nepali & American Musical Traditions.” This virtual program of compositions and improvisations, sponsored by the Walker Lecture Series in partnership with the Music School, reflects the five artists’ musical traditions and their adventuresome spirit.
