Waterville Valley, New Hampshire (July 19, 2019) - The Black Bear Half Marathon will return to Waterville Valley this Labor Day Weekend in support of the Waterville Valley Elementary School (WVES) PTA. The race will travel the Valley’s scenic roads & trails and competitors will enjoy the gorgeous White Mountain National Forest.
Featuring professional actors paired with local kids, the family friendly theatrical fare is a celebration of Shakespeare and other great works of literature presented in a fast, furious, fun and audience interactive way that has been putting the “’shake’ back in Shakespeare” for 14 years. Get your hiking boots on and got to Waterville Valley for the 6thannual Denali Challenge. Starting on Friday, August 9 and ending on Sunday, August 11, hikers are challenged to summit five peaks in and around Waterville Valley equaling 20,000 feet in height – equivalent to hiking Mt. Denali, the highest peak in North America.
