CONCORD’S COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT KICKS OFF ITS MUSIC ON THE PATIO SERIES JULY 10TH ON NEWLY RENOVATED OUTDOOR PATIO
Concord, NH- The Courtyard Marriott, at 70 Constitution Avenue in Concord, has a brand-new outdoor patio and wants to show it off. Starting on July 10, the hotel will be hosting Music on The Patio, a 7-week music series that will run every Wednesday from 6-8pm. The series will be free and open to the public.
The new patio replaces the courtyard area of the hotel that used to feature the gazebo. It was a three-month renovation that involved installing beautiful new stonework by Keim Landscaping, water features and fire pits, seating for 40, and a full bar including light fare. In addition, there will be $5 drink specials from 5-8pm on those nights.
The Courtyard partnered with NH Music Collective to bring on some talented musicians who will be from the area, but also around other parts of New England. “We reached out to Brad at NH Music Collective because he really has his finger on the pulse when it comes to talented musicians not only in Concord but around the state. We talked about how what we wanted the vibe of the Music on The Patio series to be and he really delivered an amazing lineup and we are excited!” Kate Fleming, Communications and Marketing Director at Concord Courtyard Marriott and Duprey Hospitality.
The Courtyard Marriott offers plenty of free parking and welcomes the community to come down not only for the Music on The Patio but anytime this summer for an outdoor relaxing summer experience. “Our menu includes something for everyone and can serve light fare. We are so excited to offer a fun outdoor venue and we hope folks will spend their summer evenings with us!” Sherri Ferns, Regional Director of Sales, Duprey Hospitality. Items on the drink menu include Blackberry Gin & Tonic, Adult Iced Coffee and Sangria and for food guests will be treated to Pesto Prosciutto Flatbread, French Fries and Dip Trio and Fig and Caramelized Onion Flatbread.
“Between the vibe on the beautifully remodeled Courtyard patio, the drink specials and food offerings, and the strategic choice of Wednesday evenings for the series, this new collaboration already proves to be the summer event not to be missed!” – Brad Myrick, owner, NH Music Collective, and performing guitarist. “Steve Duprey has been incredibly proactive in the Concord scene, and it was no surprise to see him advocating for something new and cool for the city. I worked with Kate Fleming from Duprey Hospitality (Courtyard Marriott). We carefully selected 7 diverse artists to perform in this fun, inviting environment, and are thrilled to present this concert series!”
Music on The Patio will feature the following artists:
Wednesday, July 10 – Senie Hunt | Senie Hunt is a self-taught singer-songwriter and percussive guitarist based in Concord, New Hampshire. Adopted from Sierra Leone at age 5 during the brutal Diamond Wars, his inherent passion for West African rhythms and percussion led him to experiment with drumming on the guitar as a way to capture the sound and rhythms of his roots. Senie’s playing is eclectic, powerful and artfully unique. This original approach and performance style, especially his unique percussion, sets Senie apart from other acoustic guitarists.
Wednesday, July 17 – Dwayne Haggins | Dwayne Haggins grew up in many places, but when he talks of "home" these days, he means Framingham, Massachusetts. Since early 2017, Dwayne has been on a quest to make a living playing music, leaving his mark on countless venues scattered across northern New England. His distinctive sound, which delivers a brand new take on the traditional country-blues and soul that he loves, has generated a rare sense of excitement and possibility throughout the area's musical community.
Wednesday, July 24 – Ryan Williamson | Ryan Williamson first felt the rush of being on stage at an open mic in high school. He now plays well over 150 shows a year around New England. Combining his standout original material with his artistic remakes of popular tunes, Ryan captivates audiences of all ages.
Wednesday, July 31 – April Cushman | Whether performing for 2 people or 2,000, the energy and enthusiasm that is put forth during April Cushman's shows is infectious, and keeps the crowd interested, involved and attentive.
