In May, Concord Community Music School faculty come together in an exciting new musical collaboration – celebrating music across the continents with a free Bach’s Lunch lecture and concert focusing on the spirit of international adventure and improvisation!
Upholding a longstanding tradition, Mother’s Day Brunch Cruise, Sunday May 12thwill be the first cruise available to the public. The two and a half hour scenic cruises, of Lake Winnipesaukee, feature a champagne brunch and entertainment for all ages. There are two brunch cruises to choose from: 10:00 am or 2:00 pm.
Ice-Out on Lake Winnipesaukee was declared today at 5:24 a.m. this morning. New Hampshire’s official "Ice-Out" on Lake Winnipesaukee happens when the M/S Mount Washington can leave her winter dock in Meredith and motor to all four ports on her normal route, in Center Harbor, Alton Bay, Wolfeboro, and Weirs Beach. Ice-out is determined by air from by Emerson Aviation.
On Saturday, May 4, from 10:30 – 4 p.m., Concord's McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center will present AerospaceFest, New Hampshire’s annual aerospace festival. Visitors will be able to engage in a wide variety of hands-on science and engineering activities at the festival, to enjoy the Discovery Center’s newest planetarium show, and to meet former NASA Administrator Sean O’Keefe.
The Mount Washington Cog Railway, the first mountain–climbing cog railway in the world, is celebrating 150 years of operation this year in 2019. The Cog, (as it is affectionately nicknamed) is located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, 6 miles from the grand Mount Washington Hotel.
On Friday, April 26, 2019, from 7:30 – 9:30 pm in the Wellness Center Gym, NHTI’s Campus Activities Board (CAB) presents comedian, actor and author Finesse Mitchell, with special guest Feraz Ozel, for an evening of standup comedy.
The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center will be open from 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. every day for Spring Vacation, from Saturday, April 13 through Sunday, April 28.
Songweavers Women’s Chorus of Concord Community Music School presents its annual spring concerts, entitled “I Am Light,” April 14 in Manchester and April 27 in Concord
