The Mount Washington Cog Railway, the world’s first mountain-climbing cog railway, will open for its 149th season on Saturday, April 21st. Trains will run to and from the top of New England’s highest summit every weekend until May 5th, when they will run daily.   Read more →

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center will be open from 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. every day for Spring Vacation, from Saturday, April 14 through Sunday, April 29.  Spring Vacation presents the last chance for visitors to check out the Discovery Center’s special international exhibition on the scientific method, True or False, with its many interactive activities for kids and families, before it leaves for its next venue.
