Waterville Valley Resort is Extending The 2016/17 Ski Season Until (At Least) April 9th

Waterville Valley Resort-- Waterville Valley Resort will extend the current ski season until at least April 9th, 2017. This will give guests a chance to enjoy the incredible snow conditions, and extend the fun of spring skiing.

“The spring is our gift for enduring the New England winters, it is the best time of the ski season. Great weather, sunshine, and shades. The snow conditions are incredible right now, and we are thrilled to extend skiing and riding for our guests this Spring.” said Matt Hesser, Director of Marketing at Waterville Valley Resort.

“We are especially excited about having great spring events at the mountain, such as our Annual The Last Run Luau Pond Skimming and Beach Party paired with an all new concert event on April 1st.”

The 2016/17 Winter Season has been fantastic for Waterville Valley Resort in different ways, and especially in terms of the weather. Since Opening Day, the Resort has received 179 inches of snow. 3 new inches are expected today with more snow in the forecast during the weekend. The surface conditions remain to be packed powder/powder. With 100% of Nordic trails open, Waterville Valley Resort is still one of the few places in New Hampshire for cross country skiers to enjoy more than 74km of groomed Nordic Terrain.

The ability to stay open longer than April 9th will depend on weather and snow conditions.

Waterville Valley was designed and planned specifically as a self-contained four season resort. Known as New Hampshire’s Family Resort, it features 265 skiable acres with an altitude of 4,004 feet and vertical drop of 2,020 feet, 60 trails, and 11 lifts. This year Waterville Valley Resort opens Green Peak Expansion, the first Resort’s expansion in more than 30 years and the only one on the East Coast. Lodging options include country inns, condominiums and all-suite hotels. For more information, call 1-800-GO-VALLEY or visit
