Concord, NH--On Saturday, February 13, the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center opens its newest planetarium show, From Earth to the Universe, at 1 p.m. Directed by the young Greek filmmaker Theofanis Matsopoulos, and featuring a sweeping soundtrack from Norwegian composer Johan B. Monell, From Earth to the Universe looks at humanity’s expanding knowledge of the cosmos, from our earliest attempts to understand the night sky, to our most recent discoveries about the universe.
The Discovery Center will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day from February 12 through 28 for February vacation. General admission to the Discovery Center is $10 for adults, $9 for students and seniors, $7 for children 3 – 12; members and children under three are free. Planetarium shows are an additional $5.
The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center features 21st century interactive exhibits on aviation, astronomy, Earth and space sciences, a state-of-the-art planetarium and a variety of science, technology, and engineering and mathematics programs.
