Waterville Valley, N.H. – Waterville Valley’s Independence Day Carnival will take place on Saturday, July 6, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Town Square. The Recreation Department will host the event, to include games, face painting, balloon twisting, t-shirt tie-dying, a 100’ obstacle course, bounce house, live music, and more. MARSHFIELD STATION, NH –The Mount Washington Cog Railway, famous for climbing the highest peak in the Northeast, is holding a photo workshop tour, part of a season series, on Monday, July 8, open to all levels and abilities. This full day excursion includes a round trip ticket to the summit, instructional sessions with a professional photographer and free admission to the Mount Washington Observatory Museum. The Zimmerman House Tour provides visitors with a 90-minute exploration of the house with information about Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture, the commission and design of the house, and details about the Zimmermans, who lived in the house for 36 years. Leisure, Romance and Adventure in 1890s America will feature more than 100 posters created by some of the most popular American artists of the 1890s,such as Edward Penfield, Will H. Bradley and Maxfield Parrish. This exhibition explores the witty, whimsical and romantic art that inspired the American poster craze. Boston, MA--SATA Airlines is offering three new weekly options between Boston and Madrid, Spain – including the shortest duration one stop (in Lisbon). Starting in the Fall, SATA will offer a new one-stop flight to Madrid from Boston every Sunday, with an easy aircraft change in Lisbon.
