Dance on the Waters with the M/S Mount Washington

Join 50 dancers from Iowa on Sunday, August 8, as they tour the Lakes Region and teach passengers on the M/S Mount Washington how to square dance. Dance into the night with three floors of dancing while enjoying the sunset and a two-entrée dinner buffet on Lake Winnipesaukee. So men, break out your cowboy hats and plaid shirts, and women, those polka-dotted dresses, for an evening of mainstream, PLUS, and rounds square dancing. Musical Storytelling Duo to Visit the Rey Center

The Barnstormers Theatre continues its 80th anniversary celebration with the hilarious comedy "Room Service" from August 3 to 7 in Tamworth, N.H. Theatre producer Gordon Miller is determined that his show will go on, if only he can get a backer--and keep from being kicked out of his hotel before opening night. M/S Mount Washington Hosts Family Fridays

Fridays are Family Fun Days on the M/S Mount Washington. These daytime cruises are family-oriented, and include activities that all ages can enjoy. Children can meet Monty the Mallard, the cruise mascot, as well as engage in other activities and games. Children’s programs will vary and may include story telling, clown or a magic show. Jazzy Chocolate Indulgence at Waterville Valley

New this season to the M/S Mount Washington sunset dinner cruise lineup is the New Hampshire Winery Cruise on Thursday, August 5. Currier Museum Art Center exhibits mural at Seacoast African American Cultural Center

Portsmouth artist Richard Haynes will speak on Friday, August 6, at 6 pm on the mural entitled The Great Migration which is currently on view at the Seacoast African American Cultural Center Portsmouth, NH as part of the Center’s 10th Anniversary Celebration. The 12 foot-long mural, designed by Haynes, was painted by art students from Currier Museum Art Center in Manchester.
