Waterville Valley Resort announces today the start of the Green Peak Expansion project, scheduled to open for the 2016/17 Winter Season. This first phase of the project will include the cutting of 10 new trails to provide 45 new acres of skiing and riding and will be serviced by a fixed grip chairlift. This will be Waterville Valley Resort’s biggest expansion project in more than 30 years.
Five Rivers Conservation Trust and the Concord Conservation Commission recently completed a six year joint effort to conserve the agricultural fields at Stickney Hill with the signing of a conservation easement protecting the 18 acres of fields at the Pierce farm.
The Waterville Valley Recreation Department Day Camps came to a close for the summer with a celebratory BBQ and Talent Show. Thanks to their long-standing support of the Recreation Dept. Programs, Waterville Valley Realty volunteered their time to serve as grill masters for this fun event. Realtors Mike Aronson, Jeff Brown, Frank Freeman and Marketing Director, Jan Stearns helped feed the crowd.
